Google Wave

There is a big fuzz about google wave. I am not a big google fan, and just today a lot of people in twitter started complaining about the spam filter in gmail not working. I checked mine and it indeed is a mess. I think they are biting more than they can chew, but maybe I am wrong and this truly will be a revolutionary thing. Click the link below to know what Google Wave is about if you don’t know already

A little bit more about me.

I was never exposed to digital art until I moved to U.S. just five years ago. Playing video games became one of my greatest hobbies, and I became fascinated by the idea of exploring worlds that were only possible in a virtual plane. I started, looking up the concept artists and illustrators on the web, and I discovered a totally new kind of art.

I have always been fascinated by photo montages. Photography is the most realistic medium of image representation, and I like the idea of playing with it,and create something abstract or surreal from ordinary objects. I like to work in black and white because it gives the images a serious, traditional, or timeless touch.

When I take a photograph, I like to see more than there really is. I want to give my images a narrative that we could not get unless the original is altered. An insignificant object can take an almost magic quality when is presented in unusual ways.

I do not put too much thinking into my compositions. I let them take shape on their own the same way I would do a sketch. I have noticed that many have something in common: Patterns and textures are almost a key element in my images.

Now What?

Ok, people. I just decided to create this blog, but now what? If you just happen to stumble on this site, please forgive the lack of content, I am still trying to figure out how it works. In the meantime, I will tell you a little bit about me:

I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer. please visit my portfolio at http://anainroibal.carbonmade.com

My new website is comming soon. I had lost my domain www.anainroibal.com (how original but yes, it is my name and it would make sence to anybody that is looking for me). Anyhow, just yesterday I recovered my domain, and it is just a matter of time before I finish it and put it up.
